Bow Hill Mill specializes in cutting cedar timbers and cedar blanks for beveled siding and finish trim manufacturers. In the early summer a devastating fire destroyed their entire manufacturing facility. A private company with a valuable niche in the lumber production market, the mill's owners were committed to continuing their operations. Not wanting to waste valuable time, Bow Hill Mill turned to Fisher & Sons to help rebuild the lumber mill.
Fisher & Sons' project team worked quickly with equipment engineers and the mill operators in the design and layout of a new modern, high-capacity, 19,000 sq. ft. mill. Construction started wa few months after the fire. Working around the installation of equipment and an elevated equipment floor mezzanine, the mill was constructed and operating again within 10 months of the fire. Today, with the help of Fisher & Sons, the mill is up and running and churning out as much as 50,000 board feet per day.
